Donation of the CAVI medical equipment by Fukui North Rotary Club
The Fukui North Rotary Club donated medical equipment to Tonga that can numerically evaluate the stiffness of the arteries from the heart to the ankles, and visited the country in February to hold a donation ceremony and training for local staff. In Tonga, the increase in diabetes caused by obesity has become a social problem, and delayed detection and treatment can lead to situations that impair social life, such as amputation of the lower limbs. The medical equipment is very effective to diagnose many diabetes patients, and to detect risks early. This activity was also featured on Tongan media and Fukui TV news.
