Presentation of International Issues at Kumagaya Special Needs School
On June 2nd, Kumagaya Special Needs School in Saitama Prefecture held a presentation of its international studies project. The Freesia Group, comprised of 2nd and 3rd-year high school students, split into two teams: one focusing on the Kingdom of Tonga and the other on Bangladesh. Each team presented the results of their research. After the presentations, all team members engaged in lively discussions on topics such as "What kind of support can we provide?", "How can we interact with local students?", and "What kind of interaction would make them happy?" Latu, the president of the Japan-Tonga Friendship Association, explained the history of the connection between Japan and Tonga and the kava drink.
The Japan-Tonga Friendship Association will continue to support their activities and work to create opportunities for exchange between students from both countries.
