September Special Worship Service and 20th Anniversary of Galary Court "Ofa Atu"

On September 5 and 6, a worship service and a party marking the 20th anniversary of the business were held at Gallery Court "Ofa Atu" in Kawazu, Shizuoka Prefecture, drawing a gathering of about 30 people, primarily Tongans living in Japan. In Tonga, September is observed as a month of blessings for the Christian faith. "Ofa Atu" is a combined hotel and gallery where Alisi, a Tongan native, welcomed the guests. Alisi is married to the facility's owner, Mr. Kashiwamura, and has dedicated over two decades to fostering community exchange. The weekend's events included a kava party and musical performances on Saturday, followed by a worship service and the 20th-anniversary celebration on Sunday. The party featured *puaka* (whole roasted pig), a dish essential to celebratory occasions.
