PLANTING CASSAVA

On April 29th, five Tongans who are NPO members planted cassava seedlings in a field owned by a farmer in Oura Town, Gunma Prefecture. They spent two hours planting nearly 200 seedlings. Cassava, best known as the source of tapioca, is the staple food of Tonga. We expect that there will be a lot of potatoes in autumn.
