Cassava cultivation decided at Kumagaya Agricultural High School

We received permission to cultivate cassava on the farm of Saitama Prefectural Kumagaya Agricultural High School, and on March 10th President Latu visited the farmland. Farm Director Ohya, Mr. Tajima, and Mr. Uchiumi showed us around the vast farm, and we decided on the plot to plant cassava in. We plan to plant the seedlings in mid-April. We hope to foster exchanges between the school and Tonga through cassava cultivation. The photo shows the seedlings being planted three years ago. We are looking forward to the harvest in the fall.
