2025 EXPO INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM

As part of the Expo International Exchange Program, 11 people from the Kingdom of Tonga, including six high school students, visited Japan and stayed in Saga City, the partner city in Kyushu Island, from August 4th to 10th. As part of the exchange program, a two-day workshop was held to consider global climate change and disasters, with a total of approximately 20 high school students from both countries participating. One high school student from Saga City who participated said, "It was a great opportunity to learn about issues overseas that I had never known about before. I want us, the younger generation, to use our ingenuity to reduce carbon dioxide emissions."
A high school student from Tonga also said, "It was great to learn about ideas for preventing disasters and damage that we have never experienced before."
