Participated in the first networking event for social contribution activities in Saitama Prefecture

On July 6, we participated in a networking event organized by the Mutual-Aid Society Promotion Department of Saitama Prefecture. Approximately 90 participants—representing businesses, NPOs, schools, various organizations, and government agencies—engaged in lively workshop-style discussions across six different themes. We were assigned to the disaster preparedness team; notably, Tonga and Japan share the common characteristic of being island nations frequently prone to natural disasters. We shared several activities when the Tonga suffered during the 2022 undersea volcanic eruption, such as launching a website to collect donations from across the country and forwarded them to the Tongan government via the Embassy of the Kingdom of Tonga in Japan, organizing a rugby friendship game between the Sakura Japan and Tonga Samurai with the full cooperation of the Japan Rugby Football Union to express gratitude for these contributions. We also highlighted the initiatives of Pasona Nihon Somubu Co., Ltd. Who is a constant supporter of our activities. They are providing their one-stop service for disaster preparedness supplies and virtual disaster drills. Moving forward, we will continue to collaborate with various organizations on activities that contribute to society.
